Gary Warren Garde, 84, died at his home in Queen Creek, Arizona on August 10, 2026. He was born June 14, 1942 in Rockford, Illinois to Mable Tanghe and Warren Garde. Gary is Survived by his wife of almost 62 years, Judy, son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Stacey Garde, grandsons, Jeremy and Jared, brother, Steve (Susan Ham) Topsham, Maine, and a half Sister, Anne Kuczkowski (Mark) Santa Maria, California.
Gary graduated from East Rockford High School in 1960 and attended Rockford School of Business and Engineering where he met Judy. He served in the Air Force from 1963 to 1967 at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. He lived in McHenry, Illinois for many years and worked at Althoff Industries till he and Judy moved to Arizona in 2000. He worked at Dibble Engineering till his retirement in 2007. While easing into retirement, he volunteered at Mercy Gilbert Hospital for 5 years.
Ever the accountant, he spent hours each day at the computer working on all the Excel spreadsheets he had set up for every aspect of their lives. He enjoyed calling countless friends and family on their birthdays and anniversaries, but his love for his family superseded everything in his life.
Per Gary’s wishes, there will be no services taking place.
