Gary Wayne Powell went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the age of 68. Gary was born April 9, 1950 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Louise Powell (Boots) and Arvel Powell (Curley). Gary served our country from 1967 to 1973 with two years in Vietnam.

Gary, like most of the Powell family, lived the “Cowboy Way”, with his kind and gentle soul. Gary was an amazing musician who loved his guitar and jam sessions with family and friends.  He loved fishing, and women, and had lots of “the one that got away” stories. He loved the outdoors, being perched in the saddle, and enjoyed taking care of his various critters. He was smooth on the dance floor and envied by many.

You will be greatly missed, your legacy will carry on and we will hold our memories close to our hearts, beloved and honored Gary Powell:  Father, brother, grandfather, uncle, husband, and friend.

Gary is survived by his children, Amy Marie Powell, Larry Wayne Powell, Brent Alan Powell and Dustin Michael Powell; three grandchildren; brother, Joe Ed Powell; and sisters, Delores Wheeler and Linda K Bacon.

Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 16th at 1:00pm at 9350 W. Prospector Drive, Queen Creek, AZ  85142.
