Hazel touched many lives in ways that you cannot express in words or even put down on paper. The feeling you would get just by being around her was indescribable. She was a piece of Heaven on Earth. Like a sunflower, you couldn’t look at her without smiling. Despite her complicated body, Hazel never complained. She always made it work. Like a butterfly, once a caterpillar, would only be able to do so much but transforming and receiving wings it could go anywhere. That was Hazel. Never letting her disability stop her or slow her down in any way. She was always smiling, and that smile could light up a room. Her laugh was so contagious. Her absolute favorite thing to do was tell jokes and make people laugh. Her love for music kept us positive and our love for life. Everyday was a dance party in the Greer household because her favorite was electronic dance music. Seven years was not long enough but it has been a gift having her in our family for as long as we did. We were so blessed to have a celestial spirit in our home. She is a constant reminder of why we are here. She kept us on the straight and narrow path and gave us a perspective that most will never receive in this lifetime, and we will never take it for granted. It will be very difficult not having her physically here with us but what comfort it brings to know that we have her on the other side watching over us and guiding us back to our Heavenly parents. We know that families are forever, and we will be reunited with Hazel again. What Hazel did in these last 7 years was more than most. What she accomplished on this Earth with her differabilities we can only imagine the affect and the work she is doing in Heaven with her full abilities. Hazel’s gift was to make people better and we know that this physical death is not the end. Hazel’s ability to make people better will carry on with us. She will continue to help us strive to become better so that we can be reunited with her and talk and laugh with her again. Until then we love you eternally Hazel Jade.
