It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Heather Marie Ortiz Lent, at the age of 46, passed away surrounded by her family, on Monday, December 4th, 2023, at her home in Queen Creek. She was born to Simon and Frances Ortiz on August 12, 1977, in Phoenix, Arizona. Heather was a loving mother, daughter, sister, wife, and friend that fought a fierce battle against colon cancer for the past 7 months.

Heather graduated from Corona Del Sol in 1995, and from Arizona State University in 2000 with a degree in Business and Criminal Justice. She was a proud alumnus of Kappa Delta Chi, Lambda Chapter, Zeta Class. Her unwavering commitment to her alma mater will forever be remembered.

Heather is survived by her loving husband, Noel, along with her 3 sons; Angel, Wyatt, and Benjamin; her father, Simon, and mother, Frances; brother’s Steven (Stephanie), Gabriel (Laura); sister, Lisa, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family, and her friends. She was always strong, and she never showed more strength than when battling cancer. Heather will be eternally remembered.

Heathers steadfast love, devotion, and faith will endlessly live in our all of hearts.

Please join us in celebrating Heather’s life. A visitation will be held from 4 to 5pm on December 8th followed by mass at 5pm.

Knowing Heather was a joy and a blessing not only to us but to anyone who came into her life. She was a joy to be around and had a radiant smile. She was loving, caring, kind and simply the fruits of the spirit. We will miss her greatly.

We did t know Heather but, we know her greatest friend, Alexa-our niece. Together they were an interminable force that won’t diminish with Heather’s passing. The bond transcends all boundaries and will be shared in a different mode now —but not without value and meaning. Thank you Heather for coming into and being such an integral part of Alexa and her infectious spirit. God bless the family and Alexa !
