My most sincere condolences to the family of my best friend Jeff (jay). Jeff and I met at Longfellow school in either kindergarten or the 1st grade. (I can’t remember which) We went to different elementary schools until we finally went to Middle school at Fairbanks, after that we were pretty much inseparable. Once we hit High School (forget it) we really started hanging out more and having the best of times. I was Annette’s next door neighbor. I can remember telling her, hey my buddy would really like to meet you, he thinks you’re cute. I don’t remember if she knew who he was as the time. Shortly after that they started talking and like they say, “the rest was history”.
Over the years, our friendship never waivered; I always kept in touch with Jeff, and he with me. We offered each other our strength and support throughout the years, and were always there for each other. We would irritate our spouses by reciting the same movie quotes time after time, or talk about the many crazy stories that we had in high school in Morenci.
I loved this man like a brother and will never, ever forget him. I know he will be watching over us all. I will miss his voice and especially his laughter on our many phone calls from his trips on the road. Goodbye my friend.
