John Walter Godzwon, 32, passed away at home on Monday, July 13, 2015 in San Tan Valley, Arizona. He was born October 1, 1982 to Walter and Mary Ann Godzwon in Southfield, Michigan. In January 2006, he met his wife, Kathryn Kreutter, and on July 12, 2014, they wed in their home state of Michigan.  John enjoyed spending time with his family and friends as well as watching/attending any and all Detroit sporting events (especially the Tigers). He was an Account Representative within the Auto Finance Department at JP Morgan Chase.  John’s true passion though was relaxing on the water with his fishing rod.

John is survived by his beloved wife Kathryn; his parents, Walter and Mary Ann; his sister, Laura; along with his aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at San Tan Mountain View Funeral Home Chapel; in lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated. Family will greet friends at 11:30 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 12:30 p.m.

    When I heard John had passed I kept telling myself that was impossible. He was one of the good ones. We always talked about fishing and tell each other about our grand fishing stories. I’m sorry I wasn’t able to make your send off party when you were moving to AZ, one of the biggest regrets of my life. Fishing for perch and going back to your parent’s house to fry them up was always a good time. I miss you man.
