Justin was born on a hot summer day on August 13, 1993 in Mesa, Arizona. He always had a zest for life.  He had a heart of gold and would help anyone and always put others needs before his own. He had a very active imagination and loved to do anything that allowed his creativity to work. He was the lead in several plays in Elementary and High School. He also did voice and comedy for FKL at Higley High School.  There were always lots of friends and fun during those years. Justin had a love for reading, writing stories, making films, playing and listening to music, being outdoors, helping others and getting to know and love people. He always looked for the good in others and found ways to help and uplift those around him.  He worked hard in scouting and came very close to earning his Eagle Scout.  He always looked for the good in others and found ways to uplift everyone around him. Despite having many of his own personal struggles, he would still be the first one with a smile and a hug for someone else who was struggling. He will always be remembered for being a peacemaker and his kind and energetic personality and his love and devotion for those he knew. Justin was preceded in death by his brother Jordan, both his maternal and paternal grandmothers and paternal grandfather and one Uncle.  He is survived by his mother, Connie Patterson, father, Shon Smith, brothers Jason, Jared & Austin, sisters, Tiffany & Tara, brother in law, Kevin, nephew, Tate & niece, Scarlett. His maternal grandparents, Max & Lynna Hall and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Until We Meet again

We think about you always

We talk about you still

You have never been forgotten

And you never will

We hold you close within our hearts

And there you will remain

To walk and guide us through our lives

Until we meet again
