Kelvin Khalid McGlothin was born in Inglewood, California on January 27, 1996 to Tjuana Winzer and Mack McGlothin. Kelvin became a loving big brother to Aliyah on January 10, 2002.
Kelvin moved with his mom and sister to San Tan Valley, Arizona in July of 2006 where he played little league football and also joined the school basketball team. He graduated from high school in 2014.
Kelvin was a charming and well-loved young man with an infectious grin who firmly believed in being true to one’s self. He was a deep philosophical thinker who analyzed situations from every angle before he made a firm decision. Kelvin was a poet and had a mathematically gifted mind with a love for astronomy, poetry and philosophy. He developed his love for astronomy at an early age often reading the works of Carl Sagan, Stephen Hawking or anything regarding the universe. An avid Gamer, fan of Anime and Comics, especially Marvel, he was strengthening his skills with the goal of entering into tournaments this year. Kelvin was also a car enthusiast with a need for speed. He worked hard to save money for the purchase of his cherished Scion FR-S and he worked just as hard to pay the speeding tickets.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at San Tan Mountain View Funeral Home, 21809 S. Ellsworth Rd., Queen Creek, AZ 85142.
