Marcia Veth Frame, 78, of Northfield, MN passed away June 3, 2022 in Chandler, AZ.  Marcia was a devoted nurse, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend.

Marcia was born in Minneapolis, MN and attended Robbinsdale Senior High School. She had a beautiful singing voice and, when young, she sang solos at Fourth Baptist Church and later studied voice at the University of Minnesota.  Marcia graduated from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing. Her first employment was as a Registered Nurse in the ER at North Memorial Hospital and then she went on to become head nurse of coronary care at Abbott Northwestern Hospital.

Marcia settled in Grand Rapids, MN for many years, working as an RN at the Grand Rapids Clinic.  It was in Grand Rapids, after being set-up on a date by friends, that she met Chuck.  They were married in 1999 and spent several fun years traveling to Australia, New Zealand, Alaska, and Mexico. In 2000 they built their dream home on the Frame family farm in Northfield and shortly thereafter became snowbirds, spending winters in Arizona. She was a fantastic baker and chef and loved to share her skills and recipes with her family.  Marcia loved her hobbies and there were many!  She was an excellent seamstress and taught her daughters and grandchildren to sew.  She also enjoyed making ceramics, glass art, and jewelry.  During the pandemic she prolifically produced cloth masks to donate and give as gifts.

Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, Dorr and Ruth (Burnham) Veth.  She is survived by her beloved husband Chuck Frame of Northfield, MN; step-children Kirsten (Rich Lay) Lysne, Erik (Stephanie Geitner) Lysne, Marit (Jim Rosati) Lysne, Scott (Lindra) Frame, and Heather (Gary) Berscheit; Brothers Brian (Shirley) Veth and Terry (Ann) Veth; Nieces Laurie (Michael) Grismore, Amy (Joel) Melberg, and Marisa (James) Anderson. Marcia was “Grandma Chicken” to her much-adored grandchildren, MacKenzie and Thomas Frame; Tyler and Hope Berscheit; and Antonio and Carina Rosati.

A small family service will be held at a later, undetermined date.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marcia’s honor to The National Kidney Foundation (Welcome – The National Kidney Foundation or The American Heart Association (American Heart Association | To be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives).
