Matthew P. Pendleton, 32, of Chandler, Arizona, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 27, 2023.

Born on 9/21/1990 in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of Michael L. Pendleton and Keri L. Pendleton.

Matthew met his loving wife, Taylor, in 2010, and they married in 2017.

He graduated from high school and entered the workforce, where he met his wife.  He spent his career developing fellow employees and demonstrating leadership and poise in the most challenging situations.  He ended his career with Cox Communications as a sales leader.  He enjoyed most of his time with his family, watching sports (Go Ravens and Lakers!), camping, playing basketball, raising dogs, and last but certainly not least, evangelizing and preaching the gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ.  He will be deeply missed by his family and all that knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Taylor, and daughters Madison, Emma, Avery, Riley, and Hannah Pendleton; his brother Michael Pendleton, sister Mary Pendleton, brothers Christopher Pendleton and Nicholas Pendleton, father Michael Pendleton and step-mother Gayla Pendleton, nephew Leto and niece Alexia, grandmother Sandra.

Matt was predeceased by his mother, Keri Pendleton.

Burial service will take place on 6/6/2023 at San Tan Memorial Gardens at Schnepf Farms (22425 E Cloud Rd, Queen Creek, AZ 85142) at 10:00 am, followed is a church service at 12:00 pm at Faithful Word Baptist Church (2741 W Southern Ave Ste 14, Tempe, AZ 85282). An opportunity to come together and remember Matthew’s amazing life will directly follow at Main Event, Tempe (8545 S Emerald Dr, Tempe, AZ 85284).

Flowers can be sent to San Tan Memorial Gardens, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Matt’s favorite charity, his church, at https://www.faithfulwordbaptist.org
