Meri Weiler (Geyer), 68, of San Tan Valley, AZ passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her husband and children, on January 30th, 2021.

Meri was born on September 5th, 1952 to Elmer and Grace Geyer in Camp Rucker, Alabama. She grew up on a farm outside of Enderlin, ND.

On June 23rd, 1979 she married Marvin Weiler in Fargo, ND. They lived in Sioux Falls, SD, Dickinson, ND, and Kansas City, MO before settling back in Enderlin, ND where they raised their two children. Meri worked as a medical transcriptionist from home for many years and also worked as a para educator at Enderlin Public School.

After retiring, Meri and Marv enjoyed spending summers at the lake in Minnesota and winters at their home in Arizona. Two years ago they became full time residents of Arizona so that they could spend more time with their children and grandchildren.

Meri took great pride in her children and loved her latest role as ‘Grammie’. She was known for sending cards and words of encouragement to those in need. Even during her own struggles, she took the time to check in on loved ones, and she was the best at making sure people knew how proud of them she was. Meri was the master ‘fun planner’, planning trips, events, celebrations, etc. Most importantly, Meri loved unconditionally. She was generous, kind, caring, patient, and had a smile that could light up a room. She was a true gift to the lives of many, and will be missed dearly.

Meri is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Katie; parents Elmer and Grace Geyer; and step-mother Gladys Geyer.

Meri is survived by her husband, Marvin; son Kyle (Jane) Weiler of Gilbert, AZ; daughter Kelsey Weiler (Christy Nilan) of Goodyear, AZ; grandchildren, Vivien and Leo of Gilbert, AZ; siblings, Doris (Gary) Fritz, Cathy Singleton (Dean Sellheim), and David Geyer.

A Celebration of Life will be held at San Tan Mountain View Funeral Home in Queen Creek, AZ at 10am MST on Thursday, February 4th, 2021. Burial will be at Enderlin Cemetery in Enderlin, ND at a later date.
