OBITUARY FOR MICHAEL A. SEIVERT

Michael A. Seivert, 68, of San Tan Valley, AZ passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday June 27, 2023 after a 17-month battle with pancreatic cancer.  He was born on April 29,1955 in San Gabrielle, CA to Claire and Ray Seivert.  The family moved to Rockford, IL in 1961.  He attended Holy Family Grade School and graduated from Boylan High School in 1973.  It was there that he met the love of his life, Debi Reola.  He attended Rockford Vocational Tech school and Rock Valley College and became an Automotive Technologist. He married his high school sweetheart in August of 1976.  He had two beautiful children Michel and Jeffrey Seivert. He worked for Rock River Ford for 30 years.  He also worked at National Tire and Battery for several years before he retired. His passions in life were being a wonderful husband, a fantastic father, a loyal friend, and the greatest Papa ever.  He also loved to golf.  He was an usher at Holy Family Church for over 20 years and was an active member in the noon Lion’s Club before moving to Arizona in 2018. He was a founding member of the East Valley Golf Club.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Debi, his mother Claire Seivert, his son Jeff (Alyssa) Seivert, his son-in-law Kevin Bengtson, his grandchildren:  Harper Grace, Isaac David, Ella Mae, Judah Ryan Seivert, and Jacob (Molly) Clearman.  His sister Mary (John) Seivert Chlebek, brothers Chris (Teri) Seivert, Mark Seivert, Joe (Brooke) Seivert. His sisters-in-law Valerie Seivert, Jo (Ed) Nolan, and Georgy Homuth.  His best friends Ron (Diane) Heinkel and Anthony (Brenda) Caruana, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  He is predeceased by his daughter Michel Seivert Bengston, father Raymond Seivert, sister Jennifer Seivert, brother Richard Seivert, and in-laws Joseph and Lydia Reola.

The family would like to thank Dr. Minisha Chandar, Dr. Arun Kolli and the staff at Banner Baywood 7th floor and the ICU.  They provided exceptional care to Michael.

The Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Friday June 30, 2023 at St. Michael the Archangel Parish at 26035 North Apollo Drive, Florence, AZ 85132.  There will be a luncheon following the funeral mass at the Solera Community Center Mountain View Room.  There will be a Celebration of Life back in Rockford, IL in mid-July.

    Mis condolencias por su perdida Quisiera conocerlos yo quisiera saber si somos Familia ya que mi abuelo se llamaba Michael Seivert era soldado en la antigua Zona del Canal el le dijo a mi papá Que los abuelos eran Michael Seivert y Elizabeth Seivert mi nombreves John F. Seivert vivimos en Panamá somos los unicos en el pais con ese apallido

    Sorry to read about Mike’s passing. He was my neighbor for a minute in St Thomas, VI when I was a travel nurse. Had fun playing board games with him and his wife, Debbie. Good times.
