Patricia “Pat” Ann Oliver, 82, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 27, 2019.

Patricia Ann Stanford Oliver was many things to many people in her life.  She was a loving daughter to her parents, a caring sister to her siblings, a devoted spouse to Don, a proud mother to her children, an aunt to many, a grandmother to eight, and a great-grandmother to two little beautiful youngsters.

She was a Navy wife, the toughest job in the Navy!  This 25 year job required incredible strength, courage, and durability while Don was deployed overseas for months at a time.  Not only did she have to play the role of mother, but she also had to step in at times with the role traditionally filled by the father.  She had to be a disciplinarian, a referee, a judge, a jury of one, a nurse, a comforter, and many other roles until Don returned home from the sea.

Most importantly, Patricia was a believer, follower, disciple, and child of God.  She placed her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and was baptized as a teenager at Bible Camp.  She met and married Don, also a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, and were married for 62 years.  Together, they provided the guidance as living examples of the Christian life that led their four children to also trust in the Lord for their salvation as well. She remained faithful to the Lord her entire life and has now gone on to be with God forever.
