It is with great sorrow we have to announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, also known as PaPa.

Ronnie was born July 3, 1947 to his parents, Earl C. Scott and Wanda B. (Ward) Scott, in Clovis, New Mexico where he lived most of his life. He was their oldest son and was followed by his brother, David, and his sister, Sharon.

Ronnie married Sharon K. Reid in 1964 and they celebrated 57 years of marriage. Born to this union were two daughters who were the light of his life, Jackie Lynn Jouett (Mike) and Dironda Leann Walley. They had five wonderful grandchildren, Larry Stapp (Rebecca), Sherri Gomez (Johnny), Randy Stapp (Callie), Ashleigh Garcia (Chris), and Ronnie Walley (Liz) and two step-grandchildren, Erica Wally and David Jouett. These grandchildren gave him 12 great-grandchildren. Ronnie is also survived by his sisters, Sharon Askew and Geraldine (Tom) Cress and brother, Raymond (Rita) Reid.

Ronnie started going to work with his dad at Alexander’s Market when he was six years old. He learned how to sack groceries and later stack shelves.

He kept this job until he went to work for Swift. While at Swift he went back and forth to Eastern New Mexico University and received his degree in Accounting.

He then went to work for ENM Rural Telephone Co-op. He was hired to be the Assistant Manager of Accounting. While working at ENMR he was taught how to climb a telephone pole. He was a knowledgeable employee in all aspects of rural telephone co-op’s.

He retired from ENMR after 27 years of employment. He enjoyed his job and all of the people he worked with.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Wanda, brother, David; and son-in-law, Bob Walley; and his in-laws, Raymond And Dorothy Reid.

We will be having a celebration of life in Clovis, New Mexico at a later date.
