On Saturday, March 4th, 2023, beloved husband, father, and Papa, Ronald (Ron) Craig Snow passed away in Queen Creek, Arizona. He was surrounded by his loved ones.
Ron was preceded in death by his father and mother (Richard L. Snow and Ann P. (Jakimiw) Snow, his brother, David Snow, and his sister, Vicki Snow.
He is survived by his wife, of 50+ years, Kathleen (Truxes) Snow, two daughters, Erica (Snow) Holmstrom (Darrell Holmstrom) of Illinois and Kimberly Alexis Snow of California, one son, Ronald Craig Snow II (Rachael Snow) of Tennessee. Three grandchildren, Madisyn Hamann, Travyn Holmstrom, and Talyn Holmstrom.
Ron was born September 7, 1946, in Binghamton, New York. He resided there until he left for the United States Army in 1963. Ron served as a Radar Repairman, stationed in both Texas and South Korea. He left the service as a Sergeant in 1967. His family made the move to Illinois in 1969. On a visit to see his dad at Kroeler Furniture Manufacturing in Naperville, he “saw the most beautiful woman standing at the top of the stairs.” Ron and Kathy were married June 24, 1972.
For the past 4 years, Ron and Kathy have been true “snowbirds” making the part time move to San Tan Valley, Arizona, traveling back to Illinois to be active in their grandkid’s lives. The full time move to Arizona was this past winter.
Ron was a loving, involved, “in your corner, no matter what”, kind of father. He had a great sense of humor and a quick wit. He was known to fix things in clever ways, usually with duct tape and some other silly gadget. He loved driving his motor home out west for vacations in the summer, returning to the same places we loved. A creature of habit, he would base his whole day around supper time. He loved anything to do with car racing, driving the race car, being part of the crew, or watching from the stands.
One of his last conversations to a loved one was to say, “we will meet again, another time, another place.”
He was so loved and will be missed so much.
Sending my thoughts and prayers to all of you!
Kathy, so sad for your loss. Our prayers and thoughts are with you.

To Kathy and the Snow family. I am so sorry to recently learn of Ron’s passing. I had the pleasure of his friendship in high school and later in life and visited him in Chicago a few years back. God bless.
