Steven William Carlson, 38 years old, of San Tan Valley, Arizona, sadly passed away at home of an unexpected health issue on 10/02/2023.

 

Steven was born on 05/28/1985 to John and Tracy Carlson in Fresno, California. Steven was involved in sports and choir throughout his school years. After graduating high school, he attended Fresno City Community College. He then honorably served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Mexico Puebla Mission.

 

Upon return from his mission, he attended Utah Valley University where he met the love of his life, Amanda Woodman. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Draper Utah Temple on 05/24/2014. Steven and Amanda were blessed with two beautiful children: Leah Ferne, age 8 and Sebastian William, age 6. Steven was the best dad to Leah and Sebastian, and they loved him dearly. Steven, Amanda and the kids loved playing together, gaming together, singing together and cuddling together.

 

Steven had a great love for others and was always willing to serve them. He also loved playing strategy games and had an impressive collection. He always looked forward to Game Night with his friends.

 

Steven will be truly missed in this life. His family and friends will look forward to the day they are all together again.

 

Steven is preceded in death by Grandpa and Grandma Carlson and Grandpa and Grandma Brown. He is survived by his wife Amanda, his children Leah and Sebastian, his parents John and Tracy Carlson, his siblings Kristen and Cody Fletcher, John Michael and Erin Carlson, Rebecca (and Kyle)Landes, Kathleen (and Jordan) Morris and Rachel and Britton Baird, his in-laws, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

 

Services will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023, at the San Tan LDS Stake Center 1521 E Bella Vista Rd, San Tan Valley AZ 85143. A viewing will be held at 10:00AM, with the funeral service held at 11:00AM.
