Teresa Ann (Matthias) Dietzenbach, 58, passed away Tuesday morning, September 7th, 2021. She went peacefully in the care of her sister, Kim, and mother, Janice, at their home in Queen Creek, Arizona, after a recent diagnosis of Metastatic Breast Cancer.

Teresa was born February 2nd, 1963 in Waterloo, Iowa. In 1981, she graduated from Crestwood High School and went to College for interior design in Long Beach, California. She married Dean Dietzenbach in 1992 and became a draftsman for Feather Lite in Cresco. Dean and Teresa were married for 13 years and had a son, Ryan Dietzenbach.

Her passion was for Arabian horses. She bred, raised, and trained over fifty horses throughout her life, while maintaining many professional relationships with other ranchers. She had a creative mind for art, painting and unique home improvements. Throughout her life, she painted realism paintings of horses and other animals. She was constantly undergoing new projects involving: tile, electrical, plumbing, welding, and architecture.

Many would describe her as generous and some as excessively so. She was always quick to help others through a variety of crisis even while facing her own challenges. Those who knew her best can learn a lesson on how to balance the needs of others with your own.

She is survived by her son, Ryan Dietzenbach (27); her parents, Romane and Janice Matthias; sister, Kim Bentz; brother, Rodney (Lori) Matthias; nephew, Benjamin Matthias, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her beloved brother, Douglas Matthias and grandparents.

There will be a celebration of life/memorial service for her on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 11 AM at McAllister Catering and Heritage Event Center, 229 3rd Ave W., Cresco, Iowa 52136.
