In Loving Memory of Tina Jo McCleeary

Tina Jo McCleeary, optimistic and full of fight, passed away comfortably on July 7, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was only 59 years old.

Tina spent the majority of her life in Southern California until her daughter was fortunate enough to purchase a home for her in Mesa, AZ in 2019. Though Tina despised the AZ summer heat, she loved her home and was so happy to be near family. She cherished this new home and chapter and her family was grateful to have her close by.

Tina took great pride in her family, finding joy in tending her garden, creating delicious meals on a budget, decorating her home, exploring real estate, and caring for her beloved cats. Her journey was not without obstacles, and she persevered through years of participating in a sober living home program. Her family admired her determination as she pursued higher education, earning a degree and an active real estate license in California before relocating to Arizona.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Terra Phillips (Russell), her grandchildren, Christopher and Shealyn McCormick, her brother, Robert Provence (Jenni), her niece, Mable, and numerous lifelong friends and extended family members.

May Tina find eternal peace and liberation from the battles she faced, as she rejoins her son, Cole Miller, and her grandparents, Earl and Julia Sauter. Let us remember these words by Ram Dass: “Unconditional love truly exists within each of us. It resides in the depths of our being, transcending reason and object. It is a love unbounded, devoid of ulterior motives.”

As we reflect on Tina’s indomitable spirit and boundless love, may her legacy continue to inspire and illuminate our hearts. A celebration of her life is expected to be in Signal Hill on her birthday. Further details TBD.
