William “Bill” Polston, a lifelong resident of Arizona, passed away peacefully in his sleep on the evening of October 4th, 2019.

Born on November 10th, 1957 to James and Betty Polston in Winslow, Arizona, Bill was loved by many. Regardless if you called him Dad, Uncle Billy, Great-Uncle Billy, or simply Bill, he no doubt left an impact on your life. A graduate of Arizona State University, Bill received his bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, and ran his own business, BP Graphics, in Tempe, where he resided for most of his adult life. He took great pride in his home in Tempe and his vacation homes in Overgaard and Roosevelt. He was known to always be working on house projects and maintaining his beautiful yards which he was able to enjoy for many years. Bill was an avid outdoorsman. In his prime he would spend time in the mountains where he would take great joy in fishing, camping, and riding his motorcycle. Bill also loved spending time with his dog, Copper, cooking, and simply surrounding himself with, and spending time with those he loved.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, James Polston. Bill is survived by his mother, Betty Polston; his older brother, Jim Polston; his younger sister, Betsy Yurgel; his son, Robert Vandervalk; his nephews, Jim and Christopher; his great-nephews, Nick, Jonathon and Nolan; his nieces, Denise and Michelle; his great-nieces, Airenna, Jayme and Chantelle; his sister-in-law, Carla; his niece by marriage, Natalie; his brother-in-law, Mike; his cousin, Johnnie and wife Dee; his cousins Gaynell and Cory; his long- time friends, Tim and Sue, along with other family and friends. 

 A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 14, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at San Tan Mountain View Funeral Home, 21809 S. Ellsworth Road in Queen Creek, AZ.
