On Thursday, April 5, 2018, William Henry Crozier (Bill) passed away at age 85 in San Tan Valley, AZ.

Bill was born on March 27, 1933 in Philadelphia, PA, and grew up in Audubon, NJ; he and his family also lived in Deptford Township, NJ, Haddon Heights, NJ, West Covina, CA, Randolph, NJ, and St. Louis, MO before he and his wife retired and moved to Arizona.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Priscilla Owens Crozier; his children, Diana Manchester (Glen), Elizabeth Gabriel (Bill), John Owens Crozier (Jan Post), daughter-in-law Susan Peterson Crozier, Robyn Ulmer (Lee), and Susan Schmersahl (Jeff); sister Carolyn Kline, sister-in-law Marjorie Erickson, and brother-in-law H. William Robertson (Joan); grandchildren, Billy, Jason, Shane (Christine), Alyssa, Nikolas, Caleb and Eliza; nephews, David, Daniel and Marc; and nieces Kathy and Jen.

He was predeceased by his son Stephen William Crozier, who passed away in September 2017. His parents were Elizabeth Barry Crozier and William Henry Crozier, Jr. of Audubon, NJ.

Bill was a direct marketing pioneer in the personal property and casualty insurance industry, starting with National Liberty Insurance Company in the mid-1960’s, and later in senior executive positions with AIG, CIGNA, National General Insurance Company and the Direct Marketing Association. His international responsibilities often took him abroad. The last chapter in his career was as a marketing consultant for a number of well-known insurance companies.

He was a church organist and deacon, and served on the world missions committees of several churches. A model railroading hobbyist and St. Louis Cardinals fan, his interests also included music, American history, gardening and fishing. He loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren.

Bill’s life was centered in his relationship with and love for Jesus Christ, his Savior, and he sought to pass that love on to his children and grandchildren, and everyone he met along the way. He served God in many church capacities, but he knew that he was saved by grace and not by works (Ephesians 2: 8-9), and lived his life in that assurance of salvation. It was his desire that all could know Jesus Christ.

Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of the Valley, www.hov.org/ or to StreetlightUSA www.streetlightusa.org, a not-for-profit organization his granddaughter Alyssa volunteers for that serves at-risk girls and victims of child sex trafficking.
